Production on Fifty Shades Freed is currently in its final stages of filming in Paris, France, and Jamie Dornan together with Dakota Johnson, took a break from shooting to show some appreciation for their fans' support.
The cast and crew of Fifty Shades recently made their way to Paris after filming the first part of Ana and Christian's honeymoon in the south of France. Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are being filmed back to back, which Dakota Johnson was reported to have said was similar to running a marathon. We're not surprised, it seems as though they've hardly stopped for breath, even when Fifty Shades Darker wrapped shooting last month. July 18th saw production set up shop in the Paris Opera House to film interior and exterior shots of the magnificent building. Fortunately, actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were able to take a break from filming, in order to say hello to the throngs of fans who had gathered outside to show their support. Thanks to this shot from Just Jared, we see that the costume department had dressed Dornan's Christian Grey in a navy blue suit, which is uncharacteristic of his usual, stern grey attire. Johnson as Anastasia Steele also looked lovely, and gave fans a wave an a smile.
According to the Fifty Shades production schedule, July 19th marks the final day of shooting before the cast and crew head back to Canada. The last day of filming will contain what will undoubtedly be some of the film's most dramatic shots, including exterior shots of the Louvre, and the beautiful streets of Paris itself. Johnson and Dornan filmed their characters' wedding scene in Vancouver, which made us swoon with joy that Ana and Christian had (hopefully), finally left the majority of their drama behind them. Fifty Shades Freed follows the newly married couple as they adapt to their new way of life, while Fifty Shades Darker has been tipped to be more of a love story between the two. Stay tuned for the confirmation of the sequel's trailer release date, which is due to come out sooner than you think! Are you excited to see these Parisian scenes on the big screen?
