The Fifty Shades Darker trailer stopped people in their tracks the moment it was released, knocking even Star Wars: The Force Awakens off the top spot of most viewed trailer within the first 24 hours. Yowza. Read on for more details.

After months of waiting, the Fifty Shades Darker trailer dropped this September, foreseeing trials and tribulations for our two protagonists, Ana and Christian. The trailer saw the couple dressed to the nines, sailing on Christian's yacht, and Ana said "gawking". Honestly, how long has it been since you last heard that sultry word? It seems that the world couldn't get enough of the loved-up pair, as The Hollywood Reporter has very recently announced the trailer has been viewed over 114 million times within the first 24 hours of its release. The previous title-holder of most viewed trailer in such a short amount of time was J. J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was viewed 112 million times in its first day. It's hard to say what was the tipping point in the Fifty Shades Darker trailer was that kept viewers coming back for more. Maybe it was Ana's beautiful lace mask paired with an ostrich feather wrap. It could have possibly been Christian's morning pull-ups, or even his ex-submissive Leila Williams looking disturbingly like the girl from The Ring. We compiled a list of our top five moments from the Fifty Shades Darker trailer, and yes, you can argue that Star Wars: The Force Awakens' preview vastly surpasses it in terms of its soundtrack, characters and general legendary-ness, however you can't deny that Ana and Christian's complicated love story fails to draw you in.
