After extensive filming in Vancouver, Fifty Shades Darker cast and crew are taking Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson across the border for location shooting in Seattle as the Grey saga continues
Production on Fifty Shades Darker has been jumping across Canada's west coast, going from exclusive Vancouver estates to the city's west-looking beachfront before stopping over in Whistler for Christian Grey's gated Aspen estate film shoots. After extensive closed-set shooting in Canada, the Seattle set production is heading south to, you know, actually make it look like the film's set there. According to OnLocationVacations, flyers have popped up around Seattle's waterfront Pioneer Square, warning locals of filming set to take place beginning May 21 and lasting for a number of days.
This location change may mean filming on Fifty Shades Darker is nearly finished as crews prepare for post production ahead of the film's February 10 release. Indeed, Marcia Gay Harden taking us behind the scenes in Fifty Shades Darker suggests that the mood on set is getting more lighthearted as the ending is coming nearer.
