The Fifty Shades Darker official trailer is finally here! Take a look as Christian and Ana fight for their love, against all odds.
After what seems like a lifetime of waiting, the Fifty Shades Darker trailer has finally arrived. The sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey is sure to be more of a love story than its predecessor, and within seconds of watching the highly-anticipated preview, we were swept right back into Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's bewitching world. The day before the trailer's release, fans were given a little taste of what's to come, thanks to a teaser giving us a glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Grey's famed Masquerade Ball.
However, there is a lot that needs to happen before Christian is able to enter a room with Ana on his arm. Fifty Shades of Grey came to an end as the elevator doors closed behind a heartbroken Ana. But when the words "Forget the Past" appear on screen (we're assuming they're referring to Ana's whipping, rather than the first film as a whole), we are reminded that there's nothing the two can't face, as long as they're together.
Fifty Shades Darker is so named as Christian and Ana are confronted by those prepared to split them apart, and it's up to them to fight their demons for the sake of their love. Ana also seems to be formulating a contract of her own, as she tells Christian: "This time, no rules, no punishments." However, she quickly realises that she is still out of her depth when it comes to her lover's past.
As the trailer progresses, we sees glimpses of Leila Williams, Christian's ex-submissive; Ana's new boss, Jack Hyde, harasses her in his office; and Elena Lincoln (Mrs Robinson herself) seems to stake her claim over Christian at the Masquerade Ball. Elena is heard saying to Ana: "Do you think you're the first woman who's tried to save him?" Absolutely not, but Ana will undoubtedly make sure she'll be the one who succeeds.
