Guardians of the Galaxy 2's director, James Gunn, is quite upset about Tim Miller's departure from Deadpool 2. Check his tweet out below...
Deadpool was undeniably one of 2016's big comic book movie hits. It was completely unexpected and we all loved the movie here at melty. It seems like many of you liked the film as well. We were overjoyed to see the character done properly on the big screen for the first time, and much of that was down to the hard work of the film's director Tim Miller. Deadpool's also one of Canada's best ever superheroes! Unfortunately, due to creative differences with the film's star, Ryan Reynolds, Miller's been forced to leave the project, which is such a huge shame because we couldn't wait to see what he had in mind for the sequel. It seems as if James Gunn feels exactly the same way as we do about the whole thing.
Honestly bummed about Tim Miller leaving Deadpool. He did an amazing job with the first one; I’d like to have seen where he’d go next.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) October 22, 2016
James Gunn's tweet echoes our sentiments perfectly. We're all pretty bummed about this news. To be honest, we were a bit shocked because Reynolds and Miller seemed like such a united force. They were a great team and both claimed that they wouldn't do the sequel without the other being involved. Unfortunately we live in the real world, where people do disagree over things, and it sounds like they might have disagreed over who should play Cable. It's certainly a very important role, therefore they'd both want the perfect actor for the role and apparently they just couldn't agree on who that should be. Deadpool 2 is currently slated for a January 12th release date, but that might be pushed back a bit now after all this drama. Are you upset about Tim Miller leaving Deadpool 2?
