Justice League has wrapped in London and to celebrate Zack Snyder released a behind-the-scenes video which teased Superman's return to the DCEU.
Just in case you haven't watched Batman v Superman yet, we're warning you now that there will be SPOILERS in this article. OK, so BvS ended with the death of Superman at the hands (or the spike) of Doomsday, however, we've seen some images that have teased Superman's return in some form or another. Henry Cavill posted a picture on his Instagram account which seemed to be pointing towards Superman turning up in his recovery suit, however this recent behind-the-scenes video showed the British actor back in the classic blue and red Superman suit, as well as a snippet of Ben Affleck in Batman's new tactical suit. However, there was no sign of Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke. Check it out in the video that Zack Snyder posted on his Twitter account. Henry Cavill's Superman turns up at the 38-second mark.
Along with teasing Superman's return, Zack Snyder's behind-the-scenes video makes it abundantly clear he wants you to know that Justice League will be a fun movie, which isn't really how you can describe his previous comic book movies. Snyder's films are always visually arresting, however they tend to be a bit too dark, both in colour and tone. Batman v Superman was probably his darkest movie yet, although Watchmen could give it a run for its money. Snyder did a straight adaptation of Alan Moore's iconic graphic novel, which was already very bleak, however the director's Batman v Superman blockbuster event didn't need to be so depressing. Superman's films had a brightness and hopefulness to them, something that BvS had literally zero of. Hopefully Justice League, which hits cinemas on November 17th, 2017, will be better. What do you think of this behind-the-scenes video?
