It's time to start getting excited about the 2017 melty Future Awards! We've introduced you to the nominees for a few of the categories, but we want to put a bit of a spotlight on Bulgarian-Canadian actress Nina Dobrev, who's been nominated for the Special International Female category. Many of you will recognise Dobrev from the show that put her on the map, The Vampire Diaries. She started off in Canada's drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation, but landing the leading role as Elena Gilbert in The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries changed Dobrev's life. Not only did she portray leading lady Elena, but she also played two other characters, including our personal favorite Katherine Pierce. Dobrev left The Vampire Diaries in 2015 at the end of Season 6, but fans (us included) are optimistic that Dobrev will reprise her role as Elena one last time for the show's final season.

Dobrev has crossed over from television and now seems more focused on making films. You can catch her starring alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage in 2017. The actress shows off her fun-loving and adventurous side on social media, check out all the interesting things she gets up to on her Twitter here. If you're a fan of Nina's then you should definitely show her some voting love. So are you ready for the 2017 melty Future Awards? The big event will return to the Grand Rex in Paris on February 6, 2017 for a star-studded night of celebration, performances and fun fun fun! We received more than a million votes for last year's ceremony and awarded 21 different talents from around the globe, including Cody Christian and British pop group Little Mix. And now it's time to show your support for this year's nominees! Would you like to see Nina Dobrev take home the Special International Female Award?
