Stranger Things Season 2 filming is about to begin in Atlanta

Things are about to get a whole lot stranger in Atlanta, as the Netflix original series Stranger Things is about to begin filming Season 2.

Stranger Things was a hit when it arrived on Netflix earlier this year, and it's definitely earned its reputation as one of Netflix's best original series. Stranger Things will hopefully build on its success with Season 2, and while we haven't had any photos from the set yet, we'll be getting them soon as Season 2 filming is about to begin in Atlanta! Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp revealed the news in an Instagram post, which you can check out below. Noah Schnapp has also been promoted to a series regular in Stranger Things Season 2 alongside Joe Keery, so it will be great to see more of Will next season. After that surprising Season 1 cliffhanger, we can't wait to see what's in store for the character. So what else can we expect from Stranger Things Season 2?

Goodbye NY, ???????? Atlanta! #strangerthings #season2 going to miss my family and friends ❤️

Spoilers for Season 1 and speculation for Season 2 to follow! Gaten Matarazzo has revealed his theory that "Will has powers like Eleven" in Stranger Things Season 2, and we're inclined to agree. Spending so much time in the Upside Down (which is known to have a toxic atmosphere) will likely have some side-effects on Will, and as Eleven had the power to open the portal to the Upside Down, it's not unfeasible that Eleven's powers and the Upside Down are connected. Therefore by extrapolation, Will could end up with powers this season too. Furthermore, how is it that Will survived against the Demogorgon when Barb didn't? Admittedly Will holed himself up in a fort that protected him for a little bit while Barb had nowhere to hide, but could it be that Will gained powers that he was unknowingly using to ward off the monster? What are your theories for Stranger Things Season 2?
