Avengers Infinity War: Jessica Jones and Daredevil may feature in the movie

Will Daredevil and Jessica Jones leave Hell's Kitchen to join the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War? The Russo brothers seem open to the idea.

The Russo brothers released the first set photo of Josh Brolin as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War recently, but other than that information has been pretty thin on the ground. We know that Infinity War is set to feature over sixty heroes but we're not sure which ones, and previous reports suggested that none of those heroes would be from the Netflix television universe. However, speaking to the Toronto Sun, the Russo Brothers have once again sparked speculation that some of The Defenders may appear. On the huge cast of the film, director Joe Russo said: "We've actually narrowed it down to 66 at this point, so we're making progress on that front."

When asked whether Daredevil and Jessica Jones would appear in the film, Anthony Russo gave a hopeful answer. He said: "We do consider everyone. We don't want to get too specific about what's going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences. What we did in Civil War is exactly what we want to do in the Avengers — no matter how much screen time a character has, you can still have a lot of ambition for what you do with that character while you have them." Speaking about the aftermath of Infinity War and where the characters might go from there, Anthony added: "There’s a storytelling adage that Joe and I love, which is write yourself into a corner. If you put yourself in a very difficult place as a storyteller… that becomes where a lot of the excitement and surprise and spontaneity comes from.”

Jessica Jones and Daredevil aren't the only ones in consideration, as the Russo brothers have said they're keen to work with Brie Larson's Captain Marvel on the film. On Brie Larson's casting, Joe said: “It’s an incredible piece of casting. You couldn’t ask for better. Not only is she an amazingly talented actor but she’s a wonderful human being. We’re really looking forward to the opportunity of re-teaming with her…" Anthony quickly corrected him to clarify that it's an if they get to work with her, but it looks like Joe has let the cat out of the bag on that one!
