With the launch of Civil War, we decided to "cap" our interview series with Chris Evans himself, who exclusively teased Captain America's death in Marvel's Cinematic Universe
The first film in Phase 3 of Marvel's Cinematic Universe launches today with Captain America Civil War! Even if you haven't seen it yet, simply talking to the actors involved gives you an idea how Marvel outdoes DC with Captain America. That's why we decided to put the capstone on our week-long Civil War interview series with the man behind the shield himself, Chris Evans, who told us what it was like to gear up for another Marvel outing and what could be next for #TeamCap. "It feels great," Evans says about suiting up as Captain America. "I feel a lot more comfortable with it than I did originally. It's a character that when you get to revisit it so many times, you're going to find a certain level of connection with him." Watch the rest of melty's interview below!
With the Infinity War coming up and a host of other Marvel-sized stand-alones, Captain America a has long road before him before he retires. That is unless he happens to meet his fate before then, even though Evans assured melty that "I don't even know what's next for Cap yet... Marvel's a very hush-hush organization." But Evans stopped short of completely ruling out Steve Rogers' death in the Marvel properties to come. "When it happens - which I'm sure it will at some point, it's inevitable - I'm okay with it becuase the character is bigger than the actor. It's like James Bond. Hopefully this character will live on and be reincarnated with a lot of different actors over time. It's a great role and you just feel proud to have been afforded a chapter." Just don't let him die before Stever Rogers and Sharon Carter consummate their romance, as Canadian Emily VanCamp teased. Have you seen Civil War yet?
