Even if George Martins can't deliver Winds of Winter in time, Game of Thrones Season 6 promises some of the "biggest moments on television." EVER. Daenerys Targaryen's Emilia Clark teases what fans can expect when spring (ironically) arrives
Look outside, because winter is here. But by the time winter returns to HBO, it'll almost be summer and hence the disjunct in seasons will almost be has big as the Game of Thrones story gap since George Martin stalled on Winds of Winter, the sixth novel of his seven-volume epic. Now the HBO series threatens to overtake its paperback origins and reveal surprises guarded for careful readers of George Martin's books. In a recent Golden Globe red carpet moment, GoT acress Emilia Clark teased fans that, despite no longer relying exclusively on the books, Season 6 witholds "the biggest moments on television that have ever existed." Okay, either she's under a contractual obligation to grossly exaggerate next season's effect or she's never seen the series finale of Seinfeld.
"It's just going to be big," the Daenerys Targaryen actress claims. And with the rise of Jon Snow expected to be one of the top tv moments of 2016, all signs are pointing to Westeros. Indeed, the potential of Daenerys herself to arrive in Westeros and take her seat on the Iron Throne would be another huge moment, although in order for this to happen Targaryen would have to flee the barbaric Dothraki clan and discover the whereabouts of her army. There's a lot of outstanding questions that remain to be answered, but with spring bringing winter, we only have a few more cold months left before we see snow... and Snow! What are you looking forward to the most?
