Game of Thrones Season 7 is currently in production, and a recent filming update sees the return of a character who we thought had turned to the dark side. Beware, spoilers lie ahead.

Game of Thrones Season 7 could go in any number of directions, and a most recent filming update sees the return of a character who we were worried had turned to the dark side: Sansa Stark. When we last saw her, Sophie Turner's Sansa had murdered her despicable husband, Ramsay Bolton, had rescued Jon's army from certain defeat, and had to sit idly by while her efforts when unnoticed and Jon was named King of the North. So, it's unsurprising that Sansa seemed to be tempted by the offer Littlefinger made to her in the Season 6 finale to leave Winterfell with him and take on the Iron Throne together as man and wife.

Our suspicions that Sansa would take Littlefinger up on this offer were only raised when we saw the reunion we've all been waiting for and Turner had still not been spotted on set. However, our worries have been laid to rest, as a recent series of spoiler photos released by Twitter users PAP4U show Turner back on set with Bella Ramsey who plays the brilliant Lyanna Mormont. It seems that there are no hard feelings about Jon being named King of the North over Sansa.

Turner recently revealed that she cried when reading her script for Season 7 for the first time, and we'd need a hug from Ramsey too if we were feeling a little teary. Season 7 will hopefully see Sansa and Jon take on Cersei with all their might along with the armies of the North. Also, with Daenerys and her fleet on the way, we are crossing our fingers that the two families will form an alliance to take out the Queen of Westeros once and for all. There have been rumours circulating that when the news of Jon's true parentage finally becomes common knowledge, he and Daenerys will marry to rekindle the Targaryen line. This will therefore leave Sansa free to become the Queen of the North. We here at melty believe that, although the theory is slightly incestuous, it would be a pretty great way to end the series. What do you think Season 7 has in store for Sansa Stark?
