Game of Thrones Season 7: Peter Dinklage has arrived on the Spanish set!

Production on Game of Thrones is well underway and finally, filming has started in Spain and Peter Dinklage has arrived on set! Beware, Season 7 spoilers lie ahead...

We were overcome with joy after seeing Kit Harington, Gwendoline Christie and Liam Cunninghman back together in Northern Ireland filming Game of Thrones Season 7, but that was nothing compared to our joy in seeing Peter Dinklage on set in Spain! According to our friends over at Watchers on the Wall, Dinklage was spotted on a beach in southern Spain with Cunningham's Davos and the GoT crew. This is hugely exciting because it indicates that the Stark and Targaryen houses will finally meet. If the two houses succeed in securing an alliance, then that will mean that Queen Cersei will be almost completely surrounded by enemies, with the houses of the North finally reunited and Daenerys' armies swooping in from Essos.

The last time we saw Tyrion on Game of Thrones, he was sailing to Westeros with Daenerys as Hand of the Queen, accompanied by Varys, Missandei, Grey Worm, the Geyjoys, the Dothraki and Unsullied armies, and of course, the three dragons. Rumour has it that Emilia Clarke will be arriving in Spain soon, which we're sure she's pretty grateful about, as one of her most recent Instagram posts sees her in need of some waterproof dragons. Hopefully this season will not only see the rise of Daenerys, but also a fantastic confrontation between Jaime and Cersei against their brother Tyrion, who is without question, in a much more stable position than them. There have been whisperings that Daenerys will be residing in Dragonstone, the ancestral seat of Targaryen, in Season 7 before her inevitable move to King's Landing. Needless to say their victory is sealed. What do you think Season 7 has in store for Tyrion?

  • This is so cool! I found out that they'd been filming in Spain just as I was planning my summer holiday there with the family and, being the dedicated GoT fan that I am, I just had to do my research. Initially I had heard most of the filming was done up north, but by popular vote, southern Spain had won as our final destination. Imagine my reaction when I realized.. SEVILLE WAS ALSO ON THE LIST! So, we found a quaint little top notch seville apartment through this site and enjoyed a brilliant holiday together as I dragged them off to see the set locations between paellas and white sandy beaches. As a fan and as a tourist, I most definitely would advise anyone to take advantage of this exciting and not at all pricy destination. Brilliant!
