Guardians of the Galaxy 2's Kurt Russell promises that James Gunn's upcoming sequel will be "much stronger than the first one"...

When we heard that Kurt Russell was going to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, many of us thought, "well that's amazing." Then we learned that Russell will be playing Peter Quill's dad, Ego the Living Planet, and we all thought, "this movie's going to be incredible." We've been looking forward to Guardians Vol. 2 for what seems like an eternity now. Our desire to watch the sequel began the minute Guardians of the Galaxy's credits started to roll when we were watching it in the cinema for the first time. We still haven't seen a trailer for Guardians Vol. 2, which James Gunn promised will be released before Christmas. Now Kurt Russell's been getting us even more eager to watch the movie by claiming that it's better than the first film.

In an interview with Collider, Kurt Russell took some time to talk about working on Guardians of the Galaxy 2. “Well, I’m doing the second one, right? So I was really impressed that all of the people on the set were so excited because they felt this was so much stronger than the first one, that they really knew what they were doing and the story itself was strong. That pervaded the set. James [Gunn] and everybody else felt like ‘We got our sea legs on the first one, now we can really go.’” We love the sound of that. Could Guardians of the Galaxy 2 really be better than the first Guardians film, which we consider to be one of the very best Marvel movies so far? If anybody can do it, James Gunn can. Do you think that Guardians Vol. 2 will be better than the first film?
