Guardians of the Galaxy 2's Kurt Russell says that the movie will be terrific and that he loved working on it. Check out what he said in the video below

Everybody's very excited for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. At least, everybody in the melty office. We hope that you guys are too. Guardians of the Galaxy ranks very highly on our list of all time favourite comic book movies. Only The Dark Knight and Batman Begins come close to James Gunn's space opera Marvel movie. Guardians Vol. 2 will feature one of our favourite actors of all time, Kurt Russell (just watch The Thing, Escape From New York and Big Trouble in Little China to understand why we hold him in such high esteem).

Russell will be playing Peter Quill's father, otherwise known as Ego the Living Planet (yeah, who saw that one coming...). Getting Kurt Russell to play Ego was actually Chris Pratt's idea. Russell's recently spoke about the upcoming Marvel movie and what it was like working with James Gunn and Chris Pratt. Check out the interview below.

In a recent interview with promoting his upcoming movie, Deepwater Horizon, Kurt Russell was asked if there was anything he could say about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. "Yeah, it's going to be good," replied the actor with a laugh. "James Gunn really is on top of it. Chris Pratt's cool. The whole cast and crew, they're just all really nice. And I was really excited when I read this character as an opportunity to play someone that I think is... you know... Ego the Living Planet. I mean, it might be one of the best names of a character that I ever got a shot at."

Russell continued, "That Marvel and Disney bunch, they know what they are doing. And James Gunn leads the way. So, I think it's going to be terrific. I hope it is. I've seen some of it at Comic Con. It really jumped off the screen, and there's some great stuff in it. I hold high hopes for it. And it was fun to be a part of." Those are some very promising words from Kurt Russell. Now we're eagerly counting down the days until Guardians' May 5th, 2017 release. Are you looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?
