Guardians of the Galaxy 2, will we be seeing the first full-length trailer soon?

With the premiere of Doctor Strange coming up, could we be seeing the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 debut within the next few days?

After Marvel released arguably the most fun film trailer of all time with the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it's understandable that there's a lot of hype surrounding the trailer for the sequel. Earlier this year James Gunn confirmed that we'll see the first trailer before Christmas, and with Christmas fast approaching, we're wondering where the hell that trailer is! Well as the old saying goes, good things come in twos. The BBFC classified the Guardians Vol. 2 trailer this week which means that it's ready to be shown, and it's likely that the trailer will debut in the adverts before Doctor Strange in cinemas. It's highly likely that we'll be seeing the trailer in the next couple of weeks if that is the case, and it makes perfect sense that we'd see it before the Doctor Strange film given that it's a great opportunity for Marvel to promote their other upcoming movies.

The trailer has a runtime of 1m29s, and there's both a trailer in 2D and 3D (retospective note: this likely refers to the sneak peek that was just released). So what can we expect from Guardians of the Galaxy 2? James Gunn has promised that female characters will be brought to the forefront in the film, so while the story follows Peter Quill's discovery of who his father is, expect a heavier focus on Gamora, Nebula and newcomer Mantis. And with a new Guardian joining the team, does this mean that one of the old Guardians is on the out? Groot died in the first film and was reborn as Baby Groot, but it's entirely possible that this time another Guardian will die for good.
