The cast of The Walking Dead really shouldn't be doing interviews for Season 7 for the sake of their own sanity, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the most recent actor from the show who's had to put our minds at ease. Read on for all the details.
You may remember that fateful day where Jeffrey Dean Morgan supposedly confirmed that Negan will kill two people in the Season 7 premiere. This of course sent the fandom in a wave of panic which caused the actor, who will be playing the notorious villain, to set the record straight and needless to say, he was referring to Negan's wrath on a much bigger scale. Speaking with Variety Latino (via Comicbook.com), Morgan explained, “I did an interview with this guy and I was talking about Negan’s arc and what he does in the course of being Negan on The Walking Dead. Instead of talking about the one person Negan kills, because Negan kills a lot more than one person on the lineup. And somehow he pieced that all together in such a way that it turned into the article that he wrote. It was to get people fired up. Negan does kill a lot of people in the next couple of years. Before we even meet him he’s killed a lot of people. Negan’s been around for a long time.” Ok, we get it, Negan's a killer. Sheesh
The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere will mark the dawn of a new era, as Rick realises that he's no longer a big fish in a walker-ridden pond, and that he and everyone in his group are dispensable. This is not a comforting thought for fans, especially when we take into account that the person who will decide the survivors' fate is Negan, and so far we're terrified of the guy even though he's only been on screen for ten minutes. On what we can expect to see from the villain for the rest of the season, Morgan revealed, "You’ll get to see some different sides to him that I think are pretty interesting. Know that I love working with this cast. It’s an amazing group of people and we’re all having a lot of fun with everything that’s going on right now. But it’s going to be very hard for you guys.” Michael Cudlitz reiterated this point in a separate interview, as he forewarns fans that the premiere should really be the least of our worries. Do you think Negan will kill more than one person in the premiere?
