The Walking Dead Season 7 will see the survivors dealing with the aftermath of Negan's highly-anticipated kill, and Norman Reedus dishes that no-one will make it through unaffected
The lead up to The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere is giving fans sleepless nights. The Season 6 finale was devastating and left viewers so distraught that Andrew Lincoln himself even said their reaction to the cliffhanger has been "insane." Norman Reedus spoke with Entertainment Weekly about how it felt coming back to the show to shoot Season 7: Episode 1, and he was quick to point out that the atmosphere was completely different. The actor shared: "It was definitely not a joyous reunion. I mean, it was nice to see everybody again, of course, but it wasn’t the same as in previous years." Knowing that they would have to film the brutal murder of one of their characters must have certainly been one of the hardest days the team has experienced on set.
A recent TWD Season 7 sneak peek worryingly teased trouble for Daryl, but it seems as though his suffering comes at the hands of Dwight, rather than Negan himself. Reedus addressed the aftermath of Negan's killing, and there is no doubt that the Season 7 premiere episode will change the course of the show forever. Speaking about how the group as a whole will cope with the loss of one of their own, he explained: "It affects the group completely differently. You know, everyone, it affects them differently. Some relinquish power. Some accept it. Some fight it. There are people questioning it. There are people pointing their fingers. There are people blaming themselves. Other things happen that completely destroy people. The group is completely broken apart at this point." From this statement, it seems that Rick will no longer be seen as the leader of the group in the upcoming season, and he may be separated from Daryl as a consequence. Do you think Daryl will be safe for the duration of Season 7?
