It's not long now before someone meets their maker at the hands of Negan in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere, and according to Jeffery Dean Morgan, the leader of the Saviors will be taking more than one life.

The Walking Dead Season 7: Episode 1 sneak peek teases no mercy for "the ones that are left", and according to Jeffery Dean Morgan that's very much the case, as he hints that Negan claims more than one life in the premiere. The Walking Dead Season 7 producer Greg Nicotero seemingly let slip that there will be two deaths in the premiere earlier this year, and the Negan actor has confirmed the news. In an interview with Den of Geek, Morgan revealed, "Negan’s not just going to kill one person in [the premiere]. He’s not afraid of bashing in skulls.” So which two people could die? Robert Kirkman wants the TV series to end differently than the comics, so could we see Negan take out Rick Grimes in a shocking twist, killing off the one character thought to be unkillable?

On Negan, Morgan said, "I think he’s a very special character that’s got this irreverent sense of humor and this charisma. His use of the English language, I find rather brilliant. I view him as a guy who’s survived this long in this apocalyptic world. If this show, seven years ago, had started following Negan instead of Rick Grimes, then he would be the hero of the story. I don’t think he’s necessarily a hundred percent evil. I think he’s just done what he has done in order to survive this long. I’m constantly making excuses for Negan. He’s a f*cking a**hole." The Season 6 finale had an incredible sense of foreboding as we anxiously waited to see which of our favourites would be offed, and the Season 7 premiere will be so, so much worse.
